It all began with my mom struggling to care for her plants. She loved them, but couldn't figure out why they were dying. The leaves were turning yellow, and she had no idea what to do.

I decided to help by downloading one of the most popular plant care apps out there. What I found was frustrating: a giant paywall demanding a monthly subscription just to get started. I didn't want to commit to yet another recurring charge.

I thought: "There has to be a better way."

That's when Muda was born. The name comes from the Portuguese word for "plant seedling," but it also creates a beautiful play on words: "Cuidar de planta, muda você" — "Taking care of plants changes you."

Because it's true. Caring for plants helps with mental health, reduces stress, and brings a sense of purpose. I wanted to make that accessible without the burden of monthly subscriptions.

I built Muda to be different:

Yes, AI features cost money to run, so I charge for them. But you're in control—buy credits when you need them, use them at your own pace. No pressure, no recurring charges.
